As a Business Banking Officer at Rockland Trust, you are tasked with building and fostering strong relationships that serve to deliver an energetic banking experience for both customers and colleagues. What You'll Do:

• Interact with cherished customers through consultative conversations to build relationships and expand connections, solidifying their trust in your capability to provide solutions to their financial requirements.
• Participate in team efforts and individual tasks to effectively engage customers, boost sales opportunities, and tailor financial solutions to meet customer demands.
• Efficiently manage customary customer transactions while maintaining professionalism and compliance with set guidelines and permissions, including services like check cashing, deposit verification, and withdrawal processing for personal and business customers.
• Respond to mundane and intricate questions on customer accounts, products, services, policies, and procedures; troubleshoot and resolve customer problems for satisfactory resolutions.
• Invent creative ways to connect with customers by engaging in daily digital outreach efforts, ultimately providing a seamless customer experience across all platforms, be it traditional or digital.
• Spark excitement and motivation in branch staff for specified events by leading and mentoring them.
• Engage customers through a consultative strategy to proactively recommend and sell bank deposit and loan services, tailored to their individual needs.
• Tap into technology and both internal and external digital platforms to support customers and expand customer connections.
• Leverage comprehension of laws and guidelines to process loan applications, such as for Home Equity.
• Foster and maintain positive professional relationships, with both customers and colleagues.
• Make the most of Salesforce for customer interactions, dialogues, and post-engagement communication.
• Work together with the Branch Manager to develop and maintain a culture that emphasizes strong lobby management and proactive customer engagement efforts, aiming to enhance the customer experience both inside and outside of the branch.
• Manage customer relationships effectively while adhering to operational, regulatory, and security policies to minimize risks to the Bank
• Undertake extra duties and responsibilities as called for.

Required Qualifications:

• A sales and service background in retail, hospitality, or financial services, accompanied by either a bachelor's degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience, is essential.
• Obtaining NMLS certification and being a Notary Public are obligatory.
• Skilled in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication methods.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, proficient in operating a wide variety of equipment and mobile devices.
• Skilled in organization, showcasing a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrating a sharp focus on sales along with the competency to handle multiple tasks and flexibly adjust approaches according to the situation at hand.
• Being able to intuitively approach tasks and generate original solutions in challenging situations is a valuable skill.
• Skilled in managing standard office tasks, which include extended durations of standing within branch facilities, both indoors and outdoors, all while maintaining continuous customer engagement.
• Capacity to lift and transport objects that weigh no more than 50 pounds.
• Showing an openness and ability to adhere to an adaptable workweek, including weekends, as guided by customer requirements.
• Displaying the capacity to adequately complete our training program.
