Ensuring sales and production objectives are met and operational efficiency is maintained falls under the purview of the Loan Originator Supervisor, who leads a team of Mortgage Loan Originators. Responsibilities:

• Manage the regular tasks and duties of a compact team of Mortgage Loan Originators.
• Timely acquisition of essential documentation for the processing, underwriting, and closing stages is crucial.
• Meet the annual loan volume origination objectives set by upper management.
• Cultivate and sustain partnerships with referral sources such as real estate brokers and contractors to secure a continuous stream of loan requests.
• Take an active role in local and state-level trade organizations for mortgage lenders, real estate agents, and builders.
• Stay informed about the ins and outs of the mortgage industry and its present challenges.
• Cultivate teamwork among different sectors in U.S. Bank Home Mortgage and other business units to boost customer rapport and increase sales of additional products.
• Source, assess, and onboard fresh recruits to the team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Attaining a high school diploma or its equal qualification is a typical academic achievement
• A minimum of two years of experience in mortgage sales

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Displayed aptitude in expanding business opportunities and cultivating strong relationships with stakeholders
• Sound expertise in navigating sales processes and tactics effectively
• In-depth familiarity with mortgage services, operations, and the latest trends in the market
• Understanding the pricing structures and underwriting prerequisites of diverse mortgage insurers is crucial
• Acquiring practical knowledge of the underwriting guidelines for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, local bonding programs, and private investors is crucial, whether through direct experience in the industry or previous employment in a real estate agency
• Understanding of laws across various jurisdictions including local, state, and national statutes, for instance, zoning ordinances and Truth-in-Lending legislation
• Proficient in delivering exceptional customer support and maintaining client relationships
• Showing a high level of attentiveness to details and a capability to assess financial data
• Strong communication skills across interpersonal, verbal, and written platforms
• Employees must have the capability to fulfill the relevant conditions for executing responsibilities outside their typical work environment
• Building a reliable source of referrals in specified area is advantageous
• Established track record in originating mortgage loans for a duration of 24 months
