As a Banking Associate, you will be responsible for building, expanding, and retaining existing client relationships while providing an exceptional client experience. Banking Associates will provide expert financial solutions to existing and prospective clients by assessing their financial needs and offering solutions through bank products and services to help clients accomplish their current and future financial goals.All Banking Associate positions will receive standardized training on all necessary products, services, needs-based conversations, and tools essential to perform the role.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Inform and advise customers about the bank's full range of services, including in-branch services, digital tools, and resources offered by business partners
Achieve personal goals through appropriate levels of in-person and outbound calls, providing valuable solutions and recommendations based on a needs-driven approach
Handle all duties related to account openings and closings, assisting clients in choosing appropriate accounts, researching customer accounts, and ensuring BSA and CIP compliance
Assist with consumer loan applications: facilitate loan requests, stay informed about loan procedures and policies, and help manage consumer loan portfolios at branch(es)
Identify customer needs and refer them to a partner-focused team serving small businesses, corporate clients, institutions, mortgage advisors, and financial experts
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by actively engaging with clients and delivering an exceptional customer experience
Ensure all departmental documentation and activities comply with laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for this role, including completion of required compliance training
Process customer requests and transactions professionally, engaging in meaningful conversations to identify needs and provide suitable solutions
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Ability to motivate and communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and colleagues
Adopt a unified team-centric approach to serve customers in a fast-paced banking environment
Supervise and guide the branch team according to standard protocols in the absence of the AFCM
Education And/Or Experience:
High School Diploma/GED
One year of customer-facing experience with a goal-oriented approach
Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office programs
Leverage social media platforms to increase brand visibility and gather market insights
Other Qualifications:
Occasional travel for meetings, training sessions, and assisting with bank conversions and acquisitions, with minimal overnight or out-of-town obligations
Ability to provide guidance and support to other financial organizations in the market
