Job Description:

The Mortgage Loan Advisor is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans while delivering exceptional client service throughout the lending process. This role focuses on building referral networks, strengthening client relationships, and helping borrowers identify financing solutions aligned with their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expand mortgage lending opportunities through referrals, networking, and relationship-building with clients, real estate professionals, builders, title companies, and other industry partners.
• Conduct consultations with prospective borrowers to assess financial profiles, credit history, and home financing objectives.
• Recommend mortgage products and clearly explain loan programs, pricing options, and qualification requirements.
• Develop and maintain long-term referral relationships to ensure consistent loan origination flow.
• Maintain strong knowledge of mortgage lending products, regulations, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide high-quality customer service throughout the entire mortgage application and approval process.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay current with industry regulations and lending practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal policies, including BSA, AML, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support a sales- and service-driven culture that promotes organizational success.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of mortgage lending experience preferred, including at least 1 year in real estate or sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field may substitute for experience.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulations, underwriting standards, and loan programs.
• Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and other residential mortgage products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently with professionalism and accountability.
