In the role of a Banker Trainee at Rockland Trust, you serve as a cornerstone of our branches and the primary point of contact for customer interactions, proactively addressing customer inquiries and offering personalized guidance to promote relationship building. Through your daily efforts, you create lasting impressions for customers and play an essential role in advancing both branch and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers as they enter the branch and guide them to the colleague best suited to meet their needs.
• Deliver consistent, professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Assist customers in selecting Rockland Trust banking products that align with their financial goals.
• Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, payments, check verification, and other financial transactions.
• Collaborate with your supervisor on decision-making, with increased responsibility as your knowledge and experience grow.
• Partner with the training team and branch colleagues to complete Rockland Trust’s Banker Training Program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using technology, including computers, to achieve business objectives.
• Salesand service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Positive attitude when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to work in a branch environment, including extended periods of standing and continuous customer interaction.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, based on customer needs.
• Ability to successfully complete the training program.

Preferred Experience:

• One to two years of experience in teller duties, cash handling, or customer service.
