Role Overview:

The Cashier is responsible for delivering excellent customer service and accurately managing a variety of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in building strong customer relationships and ensuring smooth daily branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process various financial transactions including check cashing, withdrawals, deposits, and loan payments accurately and efficiently
• Operate a cash drawer to assist customers and bank personnel in the branch lobby or drive-through window
• Identify opportunities to offer additional products or services and refer customers to the appropriate bank staff
• Develop the ability to recognize potential fraud and report any concerns to management
• Ensure compliance with all departmental, bank, and regulatory policies and procedures
• Promote and maintain the established Wintrust culture
• Assist with opening and closing procedures to support smooth branch operations
• Participate in community events as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six months of experience in cash handling or customer service
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to travel between branches as needed
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including Saturdays
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain standing for extended periods
