The Mortgage Loan Development Specialist role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to all clients consistently. Responsibilities include leveraging both internal and external referral sources to grow the mortgage loan business and maintaining strong community and business relationships.

Position Summary:

As a Mortgage Loan Development Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying financial needs, and recommending suitable banking products and services. This role combines customer support, consultative sales, and financial guidance to deliver an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Builds and diversifies referral streams from internal and external sources to support the expansion of mortgage business.
• Advises clients on mortgage loan options and a variety of financial products through consultative selling strategies.
• Delivers exceptional customer service throughout the approval to closing process, collaborating with loan origination sources to validate and secure all necessary information for underwriting.
• Maintains and strengthens ongoing client relationships.
• Guides clients through the process of completing and submitting loan applications.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in a banking environment.
• Active NMLS license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Established pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products, including conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio options.
• Understanding of mortgage processes, documentation requirements, and underwriting guidelines.
• Proven ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling financial products and services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with PC and internet-based applications.
