Credit Officers at UMB are experts in building customer relationships and recommending appropriate financial solutions. They use their product knowledge and every interaction to identify needs and provide guidance that helps customers achieve financial stability and success.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Use tailored inquiries to convert routine transactions, account maintenance, and service requests into opportunities for recommending additional products or services, enhancing client relationships.
• Proactively pursue sales opportunities by contacting leads, visiting businesses to present workplace banking solutions, and building referral networks.
• Balance multiple priorities effectively while achieving daily performance metrics.
• Follow standardized procedures for transaction processing, cash management, and completing banking documentation in line with industry and legal standards.

Candidate Profile:

• Thrives in a fast-paced, sales-oriented team environment, using coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Leverages product knowledge and communication skills to meet client needs and positively impact financial outcomes.
• Communicates persuasively, projects a positive demeanor, and enjoys problem-solving to achieve constructive results.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in documentation and explaining features and benefits.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of retail or customer-facing experience involving product recommendations and sales is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work branch hours, including weekends and occasional evenings, are required.
• Eligible to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days if necessary.
