Acting as a Strategic Relationship Manager involves playing a critical role in:

• Elevating the lives of our clients and the growth of their businesses through a blend of financial offerings, educational resources, and knowledgeable recommendations.
• Developing partnerships with commercial lending business associates, private banking representatives, Retail Regional Managers, and Branch Managers to execute sales strategies strategically.
• Competence in directing the business priorities and formulating strategies for enhancing growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Reach quarterly and annual goals by generating business in CI, CRE, mortgages, SBA loans, treasury management, deposit accounts, investment vehicles, and a variety of commercial and consumer products offered by East West Bank.
• Support the Regional Manager and/or Branch Manager in creating and deploying strategic marketing plans with a customer-centric approach, seeking to generate new business by engaging in prospecting, external calls, networking, and referrals.
• Retain and deploy a comprehensive understanding of the bank's credit policy, customer eligibility requirements, and all essential business practices to ensure the completion of accurate and comprehensive commercial and consumer loan submissions.
• Participate in local and regional business gatherings; plan and execute targeted campaigns and functions.
• Advise management on adjusting the current competition policies and practices, when deemed necessary.
• Offer instructions to customers on using our digital platforms for their banking and investment needs, ensuring they have the flexibility to choose when and how they engage.
• Required to complete any other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial lending and/or private banking with proven sales track record.
• Extensive experience with CI loans, SBA loans, or niche lending practices is beneficial.
• Candidates with a thorough understanding of banks, credit services, and deposit products, particularly in the realm of international dealings between the U.S. and Greater China, are preferred.
• Excelling in analytical acumen, marketing/sales expertise, consulting proficiency, and negotiation aptitude.
• Competence in expressing thoughts through writing and communication.
• Excel in lively work atmospheres, prioritize achieving results, and thrive in team-oriented contexts.
• Manifesting a strong drive and ability to influence, educate, and link team members, partners, and customers to technological advancements.
• Has the competency to assimilate and adjust to emerging information and digital platforms.
