Job Description:

At Regions, the Personal Banking Advisor is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, and contributing to improving the financial wellness of our customers. The purpose of this role is to create meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identify ways for Regions to meet customer needs, and assist in resolving end to end customer service inquiries. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in beginning a career with opportunities for growth, development, and upward mobility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Offers a reliable customer service experience at the cash desk by efficiently managing customers' transactional needs, including deposits, withdrawals, and bill settlements
• Handling customer inquiries related to products and services and fulfilling basic service requests, such as issuing new or replacement cards, updating information, resetting PINs, reordering checks, and resolving straightforward problems
• Builds rapport with customers, ensuring a thorough understanding of their connection with the bank
• Teaches clients about common consumer goods and technological innovations like mobile apps, internet platforms, and automated teller machines, aiming to simplify banking processes
• Aids teammates and branches by assisting with fundamental assignments to facilitate resolving customer problems
• Making outbound calls to customers and prospects from compiled lead lists, offering guidance on new technology trends, and helping them address their financial necessities
• Recognition of intricate financial needs results in customers being referred to a team of experts within the organization
• Complies with bank protocols, guidelines, and relevant laws, completing tasks as instructed by the Branch Manager; fosters a culture of sound banking practices within the branch team by overseeing, identifying, and communicating operational risks
• Meets branch targets and achievements by identifying customer requirements and giving appropriate advice and insights on Regions' solutions

The job requires tracking hours worked exceeding 40 per week and is entitled to overtime pay according to the Fair Labor Standards Act guidelines.

Requirements:

• Achieving a high school diploma or GED status is necessary for personal and professional growth
• Accommodating Saturdays into the work schedule as needed
• Aptitude for managing money and processing cash dealings
• Capability to interact effectively through direct communication, phone calls, and digital means
• Competence in using a computer often, which encompasses typing and sustained attention to a screen
• Ability to walk and stand for an extended period without discomfort
• Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds

Preferences:

• Demonstrated proficiency gained from one year of work in banking, cash-handling, or customer service roles

Skills and Competencies:

• Having the capability to comply with established policies, procedures, and directives
• Skillful in guiding clients through digital banking functionalities
• The capacity to deal with multiple tasks at the same time is a valuable skill set
• Skill in managing substantial cash volumes
• Concentrating on customer satisfaction and effectively creating meaningful customer bonds are important skills
