Treasury Specialists at UMB are experts in building customer relationships and recommending financial solutions. They use their product knowledge and every interaction to identify needs and provide guidance that helps customers achieve financial stability and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize customized queries to transform routine transactions, account management tasks, and service inquiries into engaging discussions that promote complementary offerings and strengthen client relationships.
• Proactively pursue sales leads by contacting prospects, visiting businesses to present workplace banking solutions, and developing a network for client referrals.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities while achieving daily performance metrics.
• Follow established learning procedures, including transaction processing, cash drawer supervision, and completing banking documentation, while adhering to industry standards and legal requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Thrives in a fast-paced, sales-oriented team environment, using daily coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
• Leverages product expertise and strong communication skills to positively impact clients’ financial situations.
• Communicates persuasively, projects a positive image, and enjoys resolving challenges to achieve beneficial results.
• Demonstrates attention to detail in document handling and explaining features and benefits.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of retail or customer-facing experience involving product recommendations and contributing to sales.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work branch hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
• Eligible to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days if necessary.
