Job Overview:

The Cash Handling Representative acts as the initial point of contact for customers, delivering FirstBank’s service excellence by accurately processing transactions, assisting with inquiries, and recognizing opportunities to recommend additional banking services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support customers with transactional requests in accordance with bank policies, service expectations, and brand standards, including answering questions related to account balances, transaction history, fees, and interest rates.
• Maintain daily operational efficiency by ensuring cash drawer security, completing accurate cash reconciliation, following item processing procedures, identifying counterfeit currency, handling coin processing, balancing ATM transactions, and keeping teller stations fully stocked.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking products and educate customers on digital banking options such as mobile applications, online banking, ATMs, and other technology-driven services.
• Identify customer needs and direct them to appropriate banking partners for additional services or product offerings.
• Minimize risk by adhering to all procedures and confidentiality requirements, including CTRs, SARs, Regulation CC holds, documentation standards, and robbery prevention protocols.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality service aligned with FirstBank’s customer experience standards.
• Comply with all banking regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, including fraud prevention and secure cash handling practices.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must complete bonding requirements within the first six months of employment.
