Role Overview:

Mainly in charge of assisting clients in finding and securing FHA/VA and conventional mortgage loans, as well as other residential mortgage programs, that align with their financial goals and obligations, while also following federal registration guidelines established by the SAFE Act.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interviews candidates to gather and assess details about their financial status, including income, liabilities, and credit information, along with their preferences and earnings, to help in evaluating the suitability of the loan; acquires and evaluates relevant financial and credit details.
• Evaluates the creditworthiness of applicants on an individual basis. Can produce a preliminary statement indicating the suitability of potential borrowers.
• Evaluates the most suitable products for customers based on their needs and financial situation and offers guidance to potential borrowers on the benefits and drawbacks of various financial options and the most suitable mortgage programs.
• Offers suggestions to clients concerning additional bank offerings or alternative borrowing options if necessary.
• Develops fresh mortgage opportunities by advertising, managing, and enhancing the bank's mortgage offerings. This involves reaching out to real estate agents, constructors, and property investors to secure residential home loans.
• It might be necessary to journey to and operate from potential clients' residences or business venues. Afterward, contacts potential clients through either travel or phone communication.
• Negotiates loan terms with borrowers and holds the power to legally commit the bank to these agreements.
• Ensures adherence to all origination protocols, encompassing bank policies, and regulatory standards for lending compliance.
• Offers guidance to management regarding efficient approaches to compliance and suggests adjustments to corporate operational protocols as needed to uphold adherence to regulations continuously.
• Keeps a close eye on the evolving trends and advancements within the nearby real estate sector, along with the shifting policies and guidelines concerning both private and federally-backed home loans.
• Acts as the face of the bank in the local area, participating in community events and functions to attract, cultivate, and expand business opportunities. Offers seminars to both the public and real estate professionals with the aim of boosting business and strengthening community relations.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• The current officeholder often operates with minimal oversight and occasionally works remotely from the office.
• The role necessitates frequent interaction with external partners, as well as internal collaboration mainly during sales visits away from the workplace.
• The job involves engaging with both individuals and groups internally and in the designated community, establishing fresh connections as well as nurturing current ones.
• The obligation to create and uphold federal registration criteria as specified in the SAFE Act.

Necessary qualifications and background knowledge needed:

• With an associate's degree and two years of sales background,
• Instead of a degree, an alternative option can be considered
• A minimum of 4 years of higher education or relevant work background is required, with at least 2 years of experience in sales.
• Comprehensive understanding of FHA/VA guidelines, conventional mortgage stipulations, and property legalities.

Preferred qualifications include a combination of academic background and practical knowledge:
