The role of an Assistant Branch Coordinator revolves around aiding in the smooth operation of branch activities, sales strategies, and client interactions to foster financial success and community involvement. Job duties comprise overseeing team members, conducting training sessions, devising work schedules, providing mentorship, stepping into the role of Branch Manager in their absence, upselling banking products, and ensuring adherence to regulations and security guidelines. What you’ll do:

In the capacity of Assistant Branch Coordinator, you will work alongside the Branch Manager to drive superior financial performance and deliver top-notch customer service. This will involve creating a proactive sales and service-focused environment, enhancing employee productivity and efficiency, and collaborating with internal departments to drive growth and profitability.

  • Increase the bank's local influence by engaging in networking functions and commencing proactive outbound communication initiatives to propel branch sales performance.
  • Take charge of branch functions by supervising training activities, planning employee schedules, and overseeing facility operations.
  • Arrange meetings to keep team members engaged and up to date.
  • Organize coaching sessions to tackle any issues in employee performance that arise.
  • Carry out the functions and tasks typically handled by the Branch Manager in their nonattendance.
  • Offer complementary products and services that are tailored to the specific needs of customers, encompassing deposits, loans, and retirement solutions.
  • Fulfill the duties typically assigned to a Personal Banker when necessary.
  • Maintain adherence to all departmental, banking, and regulatory protocols and standards.
  • Supervise adherence to all approved safety and security guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must possess a High School diploma or GED; preference will be given to those with a college degree or previous experience in the banking industry.
  • Candidates with a background in managerial positions are preferred.
  • Previous banking experience of 3-5 years is preferred for this role.
  • The need for NMLS certification may be mandated.
