Experience Qualifications:

• One year of experience in fostering existing and potential customer connections, meeting sales goals, and creating referral networks is a prerequisite. Sales experience is considered more significant than financial services familiarity for this particular role within KeyBank. KeyBank provides the necessary tools and training, but they value candidates who are proficient in building relationships, have a curious nature, and can effectively initiate conversations to drive positive interactions. • Debt-to-income ratio is a key financial metric that indicates the proportion of a consumer's income that goes towards servicing debt. Lenders consider this ratio when evaluating a borrower's ability to take on additional debt responsibly
• Essential grasp of sales and service techniques for engaging with customers, involving tele-consulting, external outreach, prospect discovery, and network building. (mandatory)
• Adept at communicating with small business clients, addressing objections, and conducting detailed fact-finding conversations to offer valuable assistance
• Verified track record in influencing business partners and utilizing key networks of influence is crucial for this role, as successful collaboration with Key Investment Services, Mortgage, and Business Banking sales teams is essential. (mandatory)

Responsibilities:

• Opening personal and business accounts, covering consumer checking, small business banking products, a variety of deposit options, home equity and unsecured lending services, and investments in certificates of deposit.
• Forming resilient collaborations with branch peers and line of business associates to prioritize client acquisition and deepen relationships with current clients, expertly overseeing internal and external influencers.
• Ensuring operational, risk, security, and audit compliance, including thorough documentation of client interactions.
• Being available to support branch operations by aiding with customer transactions at the Teller line.
• Participate in and occasionally take the lead in morning sync-ups and end-of-day reviews.
• Tasked with completing additional duties as required; responsibilities and activities may be subject to change, with new ones potentially introduced suddenly and without prior notification.
• Upholds all KeyBank policies and procedures, which include maintaining professionalism, conducting business ethically, steering clear of conflicts of interest, and consistently acting in the best interests of Key and its clients.

Tactical Skills:

• Possesses a deep understanding of the customer's accounts and banking interactions and exercises sound judgment when dealing with clients and processing transactions
• Shown proficiency in meeting sales and referral objectives through planned meetings and effective dialogues that result in proposals to help customers achieve their financial well-being targets, utilizing lead lists provided by the system, walk-in customers, and established professional relationships
