As a vital member of the branch team, the Personal Banker's main focus lies in attracting new clients, strengthening existing relationships, and helping clients gain confidence in achieving their financial goals. The position demands a client-oriented perspective, a strong drive for sales, excellent communication skills, and efficient teamwork. Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the nurturing of a client-focused ethos that is characterized by a genuine presence and attentiveness towards each individual, recognizing the significant role that such interactions can play in shaping their day-to-day lives and long-term outcomes.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with clients to identify opportunities for enhancing their financial wellness and offer practical and personalized financial advice based on their specific needs.
  • Shows a reliable track record of fulfilling personal expectations regarding tasks and behavior.
  • Commencing personal and business banking associations, incorporating consumer checking options, small business account management, various deposit choices, home equity lending opportunities, unsecured credit solutions, and certificates of deposit.
  • Nurturing effective partnerships with branch coworkers and line of business counterparts to drive customer acquisition and enrich relationships with current clients, all while adeptly managing key influencers both internally and externally.
  • Ensuring that operational, risk, security, and audit protocols are upheld, including the complete documentation of client communications.
  • One of the responsibilities is to support branch operations by assisting with customer transactions at the Teller line.
  • Join and intermittently support morning team gatherings and conclude the day with feedback sessions.
  • Required to fulfill alternative responsibilities as instructed; obligations, roles, or activities could be modified, or fresh ones may be given without advance notice.
  • Upholds all KeyBank policies and procedures, which include maintaining professionalism, conducting business ethically, steering clear of conflicts of interest, and consistently acting in the best interests of Key and its clients.

Tactical Skills:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the client's accounts and banking relationships and exercises discretion when engaging with customers and conducting financial transactions
  • Proved ability to achieve sales and referral goals by engaging in scheduled appointments and meaningful conversations that result in recommendations aimed at enhancing clients' financial wellness, utilizing generated leads, walk-ins, and professional connections for assistance
  • Exemplifying a hardworking ethos and displaying unwavering honesty and integrity
  • Proficient at maximizing productivity through well-managed time

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged standing
  • Regular use of hands in material handling
  • Demonstrating clarity in communication through both in-person exchanges and telephone discussions
  • Intermittent instances of squatting and picking up things from the ground
  • Frequent forward reaching
  • Often lifting loads that are between 1 and 10 pounds; sporadically dealing with items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Education Qualifications:

  • Meeting the educational requirement includes a high school diploma, GED, or relevant work history
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in fostering current and potential customer relationships, achieving sales objectives, and establishing referral networks is essential for this position.   • Capable of engaging comfortably with small business customers, addressing pushback, and conducting information-gathering discussions to be of service
  • Proven history of influencing business partners and tapping into centers of influence is vital for this role, as it involves substantial influence over partners like Key Investment Services, Mortgage, and Business Banking sales professionals. (required)
  • Competence in utilizing personal computers, specifically in MS Windows and Office applications like Word and Excel, is a must
  • Essential requirements involve having a working knowledge of digital technology (mobile devices, applications, and web browsing) and the proficiency to inform clients about digital platforms and capabilities integrated into Key
