Job Description:Bank Teller

Take on the responsibility of being a solution-finder, trusted consultant, and ally to the individuals and businesses in our KeyBank communities. As a Bank Teller, your primary role involves delivering excellent customer service in person, welcoming both new and familiar clients to the Bank, and supporting them with their account transactions and servicing requirements, while also identifying and resolving any client servicing issues promptly.

Essential Functions:

• Instills a client-oriented mindset that values meaningful interactions with clients and colleagues, appreciating the impact we can have on their daily lives, encompassing personal, professional, and financial aspects.
• Responsible for overseeing the accurate, efficient, and effective execution of teller functions within a brick-and-mortar branch.
• Take initiative in identifying and solving client service problems, escalating when required.
• Stay alert to cues for potential financial advancement in client interactions and skillfully transition them to a Banker for specialized guidance.
• Help customers achieve their financial objectives by using tools and resources that promote financial wellness.
• Be present and participate in face-to-face morning huddles and end-of-day evaluations.
• Implements compliance, audit, and security procedures, balances cash drawer in accordance with balancing standards.
• Stay updated on product guides, charges, and policies to maintain awareness of the latest offerings.
• Adhere to the Saturday working arrangements set by management.
• Expected to take on any other responsibilities as instructed; duties, responsibilities, and tasks may be subject to changes or additions without prior intimation.
• Adheres rigorously to KeyBank's policies and procedures, which consist of acting professionally at all times, engaging in ethical business practices, preventing conflicts of interest, and prioritizing the welfare of KeyBank's clients and the institution.

Education:

• Meeting the criteria involves having a high school diploma, GED, or comparable business experience

Work Experience:

• Experience in a role focused on catering to client needs is a fundamental requirement
• Skilled in cash handling operations (a necessary skill)
• Basic comprehension of using a PC with Windows software and a calculator is a fundamental requirement

• Applies sound judgment in handling client accounts and business matters with the bank based on a strong understanding of their financial profiles and business activities.
• Displays a high level of sales and service expertise, skillfully presenting products and services to clients and providing proactive guidance on utilizing access channels like ATM, online platforms, and telephone banking.
• Upholds a strong sense of responsibility and ethical principles in work.
• Mastery in efficiently scheduling and managing time.
• The duty encompasses overseeing and safeguarding client accounts to maintain accuracy and security. As a teller, you will assist clients in updating account information and verifying the correctness of all transactions.
• Assisting clients in learning how to manage their finances efficiently and enhancing their financial well-being. In your role as a teller, you can take the initiative to engage clients in conversations about financial wellness, providing insights on budget management, ways to increase savings, and tips for planning for future financial commitments, as well as directing them to appropriate resources or banking services.
• Proficiency in securely and accurately managing cash transactions, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, and ensuring the proper reconciliation of cash registers at the end of each work period
• Guaranteeing accuracy in transactions and maintaining orderly records
• Skill in efficiently responding to and resolving client service concerns
• Embracing and practicing banking regulations and security procedures
• Competency in spotting financial requirements and promoting relevant banking solutions
• Comprehension of strategies for recognizing and thwarting fraudulent schemes
• Harmoniously working with teammates to maintain smooth operations

Physical Demands:

• Consumer Retail - Prolonged Standing (5-8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
