A Clerk supports daily banking operations by assisting with account-related activities, processing documentation, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative and customer service support to ensure efficient branch and lending operations.

Main Duties and Obligations:

Operational and Business Support:

• Support SBA-related business activities by assisting with routine administrative and operational tasks
• Prepare documentation related to phone conversations and track follow-up actions
• Assist with client retention efforts through scheduling and record maintenance
• Support new client onboarding and prospecting activities through data entry and file preparation
• Handle outbound and inbound telephone communications as directed
• Provide logistical support for networking and community events
• Maintain records related to Center of Influence (COI) contacts and referral sources
• Assist sales and lending staff with credit file preparation, loan structuring support, SBA loan application assembly, client meeting coordination, and documentation review
• Help maintain internal and external relationships through accurate communication and timely follow-up

Credit and Documentation Support:

• Demonstrates working knowledge of business credit products and lending documentation
• Assists in aligning loan terms and documentation with business needs, asset life cycles, and growth strategies
• Supports the review of financial statements and tax returns for completeness and accuracy
• Helps track short- and long-term credit needs based on business cycles and growth plans
• Provides procedural information to clients regarding loan application processes, SBA programs, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinates with attorneys, loan closers, and internal teams to support timely loan closing and funding
• Balances customer service responsibilities with adherence to internal controls and risk management practices
• Complies with Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and internal policies
• Provides administrative assistance and support to junior SBA lending professionals
• Ensures adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, and OFAC standards
• Processes loan-related requests and gathers required applicant documentation while supporting fair lending and ethical practices
• Addresses customer inquiries professionally and escalates issues when appropriate

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College coursework or degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in banking operations, clerical support, or financial services preferred
