Job Summary for Client Relationship Banker:

The Client Relationship Banker position involves assisting Banking Center customers and supporting the team in achieving sales, service, and operational goals in alignment with Webster's Strategic Guidelines. Responsibilities include processing all customer-related financial transactions in accordance with the Bank’s rules, regulations, and guidelines. This role requires strong communication and active listening skills to understand customers’ financial needs, build trust, maximize sales opportunities, generate leads, deliver exceptional customer service, and establish long-term partnerships across business segments through collaboration and communication. The ability to supervise and coach other Relationship Bankers is also essential.

Educational Background, Career Trajectory, and Skill Proficiencies:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of customer sales and service experience preferred, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience considered an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
• In-depth understanding of the full range of banking products and services.
• Stays current on technologies and systems used for branch transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ability to work flexible or rotating schedules, including weekends and extended hours, with potential travel to other Banking Centers.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize available resources and tools effectively to respond to customer needs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate financial products and services through tailored conversations to build and strengthen relationships.
• Perform routine teller functions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan repayments, and other daily financial transactions.
• Support the segmentation strategy by executing sales, retention, and other banking initiatives to achieve Banking Center growth and profitability goals.
• Achieve or exceed individual and team targets in sales, service, and operational performance.
• Comply with Federal and State regulations, as well as internal bank policies and procedures, meeting or exceeding branch audit and operational evaluation standards.
• Assist with supervision of banking center colleagues by providing coaching and support; lead by example and assist with onboarding new team members.
