Job Description for Investment Specialist:

Investment Specialists at UMB are experts at building customer relationships and recommending and selling products and services. Investment Specialists use their product knowledge and every interaction to identify needs and offer financial solutions to help customers secure their financial well-being while making banking easy.

Managing and Prioritizing Tasks:

• Implement tailored questioning strategies to reframe transactions, account maintenance processes, and other routine service requests as opportunities for initiating cross-selling conversations, fostering deeper relationships with clients, and fulfilling customer requirements adeptly.
• Engage in proactive pursuit of sales leads through phone contacts, business meetings to present workplace banking offers, and establishing a system for client recommendations.
• Balance multiple tasks while meeting daily key performance metrics.
• Execute learning activities such as processing transactions, overseeing cash management systems, and finalizing banking paperwork with adherence to industry norms and legal regulations.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

• Excel in a high-energy sales team, leveraging daily coaching and feedback to improve sales results.
• Use product knowledge and interpersonal skills to meet client needs and make a tangible difference in their financial futures.
• Communicate effectively, project a positive image, and enjoy solving problems to achieve successful outcomes.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail when completing documents and explaining product features and benefits.
• Have completed high school or an equivalent educational milestone.
• Have at least one year of retail experience involving customer engagement, product recommendations, and contributing to sales (or equivalent experience).
• Have reliable transportation and flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Can obtain NMLS registration within 90 days if all conditions are met.
