Job Description:

Provide quality, accurate, and timely customer service through the daily processing of financial transactions in a retail banking environment. As the first point of contact for many clients, the Teller builds strong relationships by delivering excellent service, recommending appropriate bank products, and referring clients to other areas of the Bank as needed. This role supports revenue growth by developing and maintaining long-term, profitable client relationships while ensuring compliance with operational and procedural standards and maintaining proper control of cash.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to use office and banking equipment including a 10-key calculator and coin counter.
• Successful completion of the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment is required.
• Assessment completion time is approximately 12–15 minutes and must be submitted prior to application review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Efficiency:

• Maintain and balance a cash drawer while ensuring proper cash controls.
• Adhere to all audit, security, and operational policies and procedures.
• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
• Handle miscellaneous transactions such as bonds, municipal coupons, and money orders.
• Assist with daily balancing and processing of ATM(s), including all required entries.
• Verify deposits from night and lobby depositories.
• Assist with dual control vault responsibilities.
• Stay informed of operational updates and procedural changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

Client Experience:

• Deliver consistently positive and professional client experiences.
• Promptly and effectively resolve client questions and concerns.
• Assist clients with select service needs to ensure an excellent overall experience.
• Enhance product and service knowledge by attending sales meetings, training sessions, and web-based learning.

Sales and Service:

• Identify cross-selling opportunities during client interactions.
• Refer clients and prospects to appropriate internal partners.
• Promote bank products and services to strengthen client relationships.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Comply with all bank regulations, policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Adhere to risk management standards and the First Horizon Code of Ethics.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
