The position of Banking Specialist at First Citizens Bank entails the continuation of building and enhancing relationships with business owners within the community to support them in reaching their financial targets.

The primary responsibility of Banking Specialists is to secure and oversee a collection of business banking relationships. They collaborate with bank partners to offer a comprehensive range of deposit services and associated business solutions. Larger relationships may necessitate management under the supervision of a manager or with suitable partner backing. To meet production targets and profitability prospects, they actively develop and sustain a prospect list, customer outreach strategy, and reliable referral channels following a sales plan.

Responsibilities:

As part of this role, you will be able to:

• Play a pivotal role in the bank's progress by supporting the growth through business loans, deposits, and fee generation.
• Maximize your relationships to engage with small business owners and enterprises locally to foster business loan possibilities.
• Show the bank's presence in the community through involvement in civic, community, and networking events.
• Embark on a smooth loan approval process with clear communication and involvement with credit partners.
• Engage in a group effort with multiple bank partners to enhance and solidify the comprehensive client relationship.

Qualifications:

• The applicant must have a bachelor's degree along with four years of experience in business lending, credit, or business development, or have a high school diploma/GED combined with eight years of experience in these areas.
• Demonstrated aptitude in advancing business opportunities and substantiated capability in fostering and enhancing client associations.
• Possessing adept skills in analyzing financial information and conducting credit assessments.
• Awareness of financial products tailored for businesses, such as loans, savings plans, and tools for efficient money management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recognized conflicts of interest (COIs) and sources for referrals
• Skills in financial analysis and assessing credit risk are vital for effectively evaluating loan applications and determining appropriate lending terms
• Having knowledge of business lending, deposit, and cash management solutions is important for financial success
• Capability to provide expert advice on financial matters
• Skilled in strategizing sales projections and forecasting
