Bank Teller

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver excellent customer service, process financial transactions, assist existing and prospective clients, and support branch sales objectives.

Position Accountabilities:

Deliver high quality customer service to ensure strong customer satisfaction
Perform basic customer service tasks and financial transactions
Reconcile cash daily to maintain financial accuracy
Identify referral opportunities to support branch performance goals
Comply with all banking laws and regulations, including Atlantic Union Bankshares’ BSA/AML Policy and Procedures
Identify risks and escalate concerns through proper channels
Develop and maintain knowledge of banking products, services, and other business areas
Adapt to evolving digital banking platforms and technologies
Perform additional duties as assigned

Organizational Relationship:

This position is supervised by the designated branch leader.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Cash handling experience preferred
Prior customer service experience required

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Sound business judgment and decision making skills
Proficiency in computer systems
Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
Adaptability and flexibility in changing environments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Flexible to work varying shifts based on business needs

Compensation will be based on education, experience, and certifications, and may include incentive pay or discretionary profit sharing programs.
